It is easy for an importer of automotive and industrial lead batteries to join the producer organisation Akkukierrätys Pb Oy by signing a producer agreement concerning the transfer of producer responsibility. The company treats all producers equally, and all agreements made with producers are identical in content. Already more than 400 importers of lead batteries, as well as devices or vehicles containing lead batteries, have transferred their producer responsibility to Akkukierrätys Pb Oy! Once the producer agreement has been signed, all of the company’s producer responsibility obligations are transferred to Akkukierrätys Pb Oy. After that, the importer only needs to regularly report the quantities of batteries imported to Akkukierrätys.
The joining fee for Akkukierrätys’ system is €200 + VAT.
As a member company, you can be confident that Akkukierrätys Pb Oy will take care of all producer responsibility obligations in accordance with the Waste Act, in a cost-effective and high-quality manner.
